About
Born and raised in San Clemente, California, Isabella continues to pursue her passion for movement and performance grounded by family and support from her loving community. At 23 years old, she holds a Bachelor’s degree from California State University, Long Beach. This degree is in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Health Science and Dance. Despite dancing since the age of three, Isabella found her true spark for movement while attending Santa Margarita Catholic High School, where she became captain of the nationally ranked Dance Team, received an International Baccalaureate Award in IB Dance Composition, and earned a Principal’s Acknowledgment Award for the Arts.
She entered college thinking her double major in dance would solely provide great exercise while she pursued her science degree, but she was quickly proven wrong when she returned for her last two years post-COVID.
During her final two years at Long Beach, she was cast in multiple faculty pieces and works composed by BFA and MFA students. She performed in one of these pieces at the ACDA Regional Convention and was subsequently invited to the ACDA National Convention. While working on an MFA piece choreographed by Azuki Umeda, Isabella was invited to join Azuki’s company, Authenticity Dance Co., after graduating in Spring 2023, where she performed at various residencies year-round.
In her last year, Isabella was granted a lead role in Colin Harabedian’s film thesis piece, “V-Keep Moving,” which has since won several laurels and recognitions. She was also awarded the Martha B Knoebel Creative Achievement Award for Excellence in Performance.
After graduation, Isabella began working with Harabedian’’s start-up production company, MovingMedia LLC, where she was cast in a lead role in “C’est LA Vie,” choreographed and directed by Sierra Tanji. She was then offered the roles of choreographer and director at MovingMedia LLC while starring in a solo dance short titled “Crashing…!”. This short film was selected for the YofiFest Film Festival in the Dance on Lens category and was recognized by the music artist featured in the video. Isabella has since connected with this artist, KINNERET, and hopes to collaborate with her in the future.
In the past year, Isabella has shown work at Stomping Ground LA, participated in workshop pieces with well-known choreographers, and has gained momentum in her relationship-building. Moving forward, she wishes to keep an open mind of possibilities and contribute to each side of productions and performances.
